Oman Vacation Itinerary

Day 01

Day 1: Arrival in Muscat

 

You are met at Muscat International Airport and transferred directly to your hotel. The evening is free to rest after arrival and prepare for the journey ahead. 

Meals included: No meals included.

Day 2: Muscat by Night City Tour

 

Begin the day with breakfast before exploring Muscat after sunset. Visit the Sultan’s Palace, Bait Al Zubair Museum, and drive along the Corniche near Muttrah Souk and Mina Al Sultan Qaboos port. 

The harbor lights reflect on the water before a photo stop at the Grand Mosque, creating a calm start to your Oman sightseeing tour. Return to the hotel in Muscat.

Day 3: Nakhl, Wadi Bani Auf, Bilad Sayt, and Al Hamra

 

After breakfast and checkout, depart at 8:00 AM toward Nakhl Fort, the highest fort in Oman, as part of your Oman Vacation through the country’s historic heart. Continue to Wadi Bani Auf, known for its old stone houses, then on to Bilad Sayt, a village of clay homes set around an oasis.

A picnic lunch is served on the mountain before reaching Al Hamra and Misfat Al Abryeen, two traditional settlements that reflect everyday Omani life. Check in at your hotel in Nizwa, a key stop on this Oman cultural tour.

Day 4: Bahla, Jabreen, Wadi Maeeden, and Jebel Akhdar

 

Breakfast and checkout, then travel to Tanuf springs and onward to Bahla Fort. Explore Jabreen Castle, once a center of learning, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. 

Drive through Wadi Maeeden, where spring water flows at the base of the mountains, then ascend to Jebel Akhdar. 

Cool mountain air and wide terraces mark the evening at your hotel, adding a strong Oman nature adventure element to the journey.

Day 5: Saiq Plateau, Wadi Bani Habib, and Wahiba Sands

After breakfast, descend from Jebel Akhdar with short stops along the way. Visit Wadi Bani Habib on the Saiq Plateau, then Birkat Al Mauz village before lunch at a local restaurant. 

Continue toward Wahiba Sands for a desert stay, forming the core of the Oman desert safari experience. At the Bedouin camp, enjoy a traditional Arabic dinner with Omani coffee and dates.

Day 6: Wadi Bani Khalid and Sur

 

Following breakfast, travel to Wadi Bani Khalid, known for clear pools shaded by palm trees. Villages scattered along the wadi show how communities adapt to the landscape. 

Continue to Sur to visit the fishermen’s harbor, then lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Ras Al Hadd. In the evening, visit the Carapace Centre as part of this broader Oman tour package.

Day 7: Coastal Road from Sur to Muscat

 

After breakfast and checkout, drive along the coast as your Oman Vacation continues southward. Stop at the dhow-building yard, then pass Qalhat for a photo stop at Bibi Miriam’s tomb.

Continue to Wadi Tiwi, the white beaches of Finns for a picnic lunch, and the Bimah Sinkhole filled with blue-green seawater. 

Pass through Quriyat village before returning to Muscat, completing a scenic stretch of the Arabian Peninsula trip.

Day 8: Departure from Muscat

 

After breakfast, transfer to Muscat International Airport for final departure. This route layout also allows flexibility for travelers interested in extensions such as Muscat to Salalah or planning an Oman family tour in the future.
